A holiday drive to the seaside: the boot is full, there are bikes on the roof, the tarmac is hot in the July sun, and halfway there a thunderstorm leaves water standing in the ruts of the motorway. A summer tyre is built for a day like this. In the heat its rubber stays firm, and the large tread blocks let the steering respond precisely. Wide longitudinal grooves push the water out from under the tyre. Once the air cools below about +7 °C, the rubber hardens, so this set is on the car from spring to autumn, and winter tyres take its place for the winter.
Below you will find summer tyre models from Michelin, Continental, Hankook, Bridgestone, Pirelli and other brands, in sizes from R13 to R23. Almost half of the sizes are for R18 and larger rims, so SUV and electric car owners will find their size here too.
