Summer tyres in Latvia
Winter tyres are mandatory in Latvia from 1 December to 1 March, and studded tyres are banned from 1 May to 1 October. So summer tyres can go on from March, and studded tyres must come off by 1 May. The exact day is best chosen by the weather, as March and April nights can still freeze. The minimum tread depth for summer tyres is 1.6 mm.
