About the brand

KFZ

KFZ is a steel rim brand owned by the Austrian ALCAR group. Today the group offers these rims under the name ALCAR STAHLRAD. The group's parent company, BBV Beteiligungsgesellschaft, was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Hirtenberg, Austria. The ALCAR group also owns the alloy rim brands AEZ, DOTZ and DEZENT.

The group makes its steel rims itself - at the ALCAR RUOTE SA plant in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, which produces more than two million rims a year. The manufacturer states that the rims meet original equipment quality requirements and European standards, and the range covers almost all passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and off-road vehicles registered in Europe. All ALCAR rims are prepared for fitting TPMS sensors, and since the beginning of 2012 this has been stated in their TÜV certificates.

When choosing car rims, check the bolt pattern (PCD), offset (ET) and centre bore (DIA) - they must match the values specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
