Dunlop: an asphalt brand without studs
A brand with a new owner in Europe
Dunlop was founded in 1888 and is named after the inventor of the pneumatic tyre. In Europe the brand has belonged to Sumitomo Rubber Industries since 7 May 2025, while Goodyear continues to produce and distribute Dunlop passenger car tyres under a transitional licence. In practice that means nothing changes for the buyer: the tyres, the warranty and the size range stay the same.
A sporting character, without studs
Dunlop in our offering is a brand of sportier character with a clear emphasis on asphalt. Sport Maxx and BluResponse are the summer lines, Winter Sport the winter one, Sport All Season the all-season one. The range runs from R14 to R22.

One thing to know upfront: there is not a single studded Dunlop tyre in our range. If you need studs, the choice is in the studded tyre section.
Who Dunlop suits best
Dunlop suits those who drive mainly on cleared asphalt in winter and value handling, and those looking for an all-season tyre with a sporting character. It also suits vans - versions with the C marking are available.
If you need studs or maximum grip on ice, our range has the Nordic specialist brands for that job. Winter tyres are compulsory in Latvia from 1 December to 1 March with a tread depth of at least 4 mm - this is set by the Road Traffic Law and explained by CSDD.
