Continental IceContact 8

Continental IceContact 8 - a studded winter tyre for the Nordic winter, developed on the basis of the experience gained with the VikingContact 8. A two-type stud concept combines studs that provide traction under acceleration and braking with studs that improve handling, and their placement is calculated for maximum grip. Larger and deeper tread blocks form a more stable base for the studs, so stud movement and stud loss are reduced. Continental has created a chemical bond between the stud and the rubber that reduces gaps and the build-up of dirt. The tread compound with a new flexible polymer stays soft even in severe frost. The tyre carries the 3PMSF winter marking. All the tyres of this model that we offer carry the EV designation, so the manufacturer has optimised them for electric vehicles.
