All-season tyres in Latvia
From 1 December to 1 March a passenger car in Latvia must run on winter tyres, and since 1 October 2024 only a tyre carrying the 3PMSF symbol counts as one. An all-season tyre with 3PMSF is legal in that period, but an M+S marking on its own is not enough. During the winter period the tread must be at least 4 mm deep.
All-season tyres suit a driver who mostly uses city roads and cleared streets, covers a modest annual mileage and does not want to store a second set.
