VARTA EFB N60 60Ah 640A

VARTA EFB N60 is a 60Ah battery for cars. EFB is an enhanced flooded battery: it takes more charge and discharge cycles than a conventional lead-acid one, which is why start-stop cars are fitted with it. The case matches code L2R, that is 242 x 175 x 190 mm, which is worth checking against the old battery before ordering. Cranking current is 640 A to the EN standard, which is how much current the battery can deliver on a cold start. The positive terminal is on the right, which decides whether the car cables reach it. Capacity of 60Ah is the energy reserve the battery holds while the engine is not running.

VARTA is a battery brand of German origin whose history begins in 1887, when Adolf Müller founded the company Büsche & Müller in Hagen; the VARTA name appeared in 1904. Every series uses the patented PowerFrame grid, which according to the manufacturer is up to 66% stronger and more corrosion resistant than other grid designs.
