Rosava is the largest tyre manufacturer in Ukraine. The company's history begins in 1972 at the Bila Tserkva tyre plant in Kyiv Oblast, where the first tyre was made on 22 December 1972. The company regards this date as its founding day. Today the plant makes tyres under the ROSAVA and PREMIORRI brands - for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery. According to the manufacturer, more than 200 million tyres have been made in total, and they have been exported to around 60 countries.
Rosava tyres sit in the affordable price segment, so they are often chosen by budget-conscious drivers. The Snowgard, a winter tyre with a directional tread pattern and the manufacturer's own 3D-Gripping technology, is suited to the Latvian winter. Its sipes are set at different angles to the direction of travel so that wet grip is retained even as the tyre wears. The Snowgard is a studdable tyre: according to the manufacturer, it can be fitted with studs for better grip on ice.
