Nankang AR-1

Nankang AR-1 - a semi-slick sports tyre that is legal for use on public roads yet built for track driving. The inner side of the tread carries a pattern of angled grooves that improves water dispersal and handling on wet surfaces, while the angled tread elements increase the stiffness of the pattern. Large shoulder blocks provide grip through corners, and the wide centre ribs make steering more precise. The optimised tread with its enlarged contact patch keeps the tyre stable at high speed. The special semi-slick compound shortens warm-up time, so the tyre reaches its working temperature sooner. Drivers running the AR-1 have taken class wins in the Tuner Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring. Also suitable for electric and hybrid vehicles.
