Hankook iON EVO (IK01) - summer tyres that Hankook developed specifically for electric vehicles. The manufacturer calls it the first tyre made exclusively for electric vehicles to achieve class A in all three EU tyre label categories, though it adds that the class depends on the size. The i Sound Absorber foam layer fitted inside the tyre dampens noise, which is more audible in the quiet cabin of an electric car, while Opti Pitch technology reduces tread pattern noise. The ProDurable compound is designed for higher mileage, and Round Even technology spreads pressure more evenly across the contact patch, since a heavier car wears its tyres less evenly. An aramid hybrid reinforcement belt helps the tyre keep its shape at high speed, and Grip Boost technology, according to Hankook, increases cornering stiffness by 10%.
