Grenlander Icedefensor Stud II is a studded winter tyre for passenger cars and crossovers on large wheels, as the size range covers diameters from 17 to 22 inches. The large V-shaped tread pattern provides grip on snow and ice, while the wide footprint with rectangular shoulders reduces the load on the tread blocks and improves braking and acceleration. Reinforced tread blocks around the studs lower the risk of studs falling out and of the stud pockets tearing. To keep noise down, the tyre uses an AB composite pitch arrangement, whose irregular sequence the manufacturer calculated with a genetic algorithm. The tyre carries the 3PMSF winter marking. Also suitable for electric and hybrid vehicles.
