For the winter of 2020, Michelin has prepared a new winter tyre for production - the X-ICE SNOW for passenger cars and the X-ICE SNOW SUV for SUVs - which will replace the Michelin X-ICE Xi3 and Michelin Latitude X-ICE i2.
The symmetrical V-shaped tread ensures effective use of 100% of the contact area to provide grip on wet road surfaces, snow, ice and slush.
Two types of deep 3D sipes increase the total active grip area. The variable-thickness sipes are designed to “dry” the ice and increase grip on snowy roads, while the П-shaped sipes are designed to increase the rigidity of the blocks, which ensures better handling.
The cold-resistant FLEX-ICE 2.0 rubber compound optimises traction and grip not only on ice, loose and compacted snow, but also on wet and dry asphalt at higher air temperatures.
This tyre also uses Michelin's EverGrip technology, which ensures the tyre performs effectively throughout its entire service life.
- In the winter, tyres will be available in diameters from 14 to 22 and in 82 sizes.
