This tyre is a new arrival for the 2020 winter season. Featuring a directional tread, it is designed for use in winter conditions across Central and Eastern Europe on passenger cars.
The new tyre delivers excellent resistance to aquaplaning, stable handling on snow-covered roads and high wear resistance.
The wide drainage channels are designed to reduce aquaplaning and ensure directional stability on wet asphalt, in snow and in slush. They also improve the tyre's traction on snow-covered roads.
Increasing the block width by 5% in the tread shoulder area improves the tyre's manoeuvrability on dry roads.
The 3D sipe technology is designed to reduce tread block deformation, optimise handling and improve braking efficiency in any winter conditions.
The new “ Aqua Pine” rubber compound, based on coniferous tree resin and pure plant oil, improves the tyre's performance across a range of air temperatures.
In 2020 a version of this tyre designed for SUVs will also be available. It is called Hankook Winter i’ cept evo 3 X W330A.
