The BLIZZAK LM005 tyre will replace the BLIZZAK LM001 EVO model for the 2019/2020 winter season.
The developers of the new tyre surveyed 20,000 drivers across Europe, and used the results as the basis for innovative changes to the new tyre.
The LM005 tread pattern is similar to the LM001 EVO, but significant changes have been made that help the tyre cope better with various road surfaces in winter.
2D sipes in the central section and 3D sipes in the shoulder zones provide better grip on icy road surfaces.
The tyre's rubber compound is made using NANO Pro-tech technology with a high silica content, which improves the tyre's performance on wet and snowy road surfaces. Silica allows the tyre to stay soft and flexible even at low air temperatures, ensuring excellent grip.
The new Blizzak LM005 tyre will be available in sizes from 14 to 21 inches.
